• With great honor and emotion, the President of the European and North American Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations, Ioannis Maronitis, paid an official visit to Belgrade, where he was honored with the 2025 Karić Brothers Award — one of the most prestigious distinctions in Serbia, presented to individuals with a global contribution to education, culture, and humanitarian action.

• The award ceremony took place at the National Theatre of Belgrade, in the presence of state officials, representatives of the academic and cultural community, and members of the Karić family.

• During his visit, Mr. Maronitis also participated in an international roundtable at Alfa BK University, aiming to connect young leaders, academics, and organizations from around the world through UNESCO’s values of peace, education, and cultural cooperation.

• The signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation marks another important step toward strengthening international networking and joint action for a world open to knowledge, solidarity, and dialogue.
